Between his long camel coat, white orthopedic Stan Smiths, and many sweatshirts, Kanye was a kind of unsung king of normcore.

The new look worked for Ye, if only because it allowed his wife Kim to soak up all of the fashion-related attention this year. Kanye's normcore uniform also likely freed up his mind so he could focus 100% on building out his collection for Adidas and/or a new album.
