It’s not uncommon for dogs to bark incessantly, but when a dog barks nonstop at a piece of fruit? Something’s definitely up.

Jolene Creighton thought it was a bit odd that her pit bull Stella was barking animatedly at the kitchen counter, so she took a closer look. Turns out, her lovable pooch was deathly afraid of the strange fruit looking down on her.

Guess it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that Stella’s safe word is not pineapples.

Not surprisingly, the 50-pound Stella wouldn’t go near the pineapple until Jolene called over her other dog, Guinness, an 18-pound miniature pinscher mix, to sniff the prickly piece of produce for safety.
