This Generous Woman Used Toys 'R' Us To Help Spread The Holiday Spirit

'Tis the season.

Looks like Santa has another new secret helper.

A woman with a big holiday heart went into a Toys ‘R’ Us store in Bellingham, Massachusettss on Wednesday (December 10) and paid off every single layaway balance at the store.

According to ABC News, the anonymous “Layaway Angel” paid $20,000 to give about 150 customers with items on layaway an early Christmas present.

“This incredible act of kindness is a true illustration of holiday giving at its best,” Toys ‘R’ Us said in a statement.

While the older woman, who employees described as “bubbly,” didn’t want her name in the headlines for her good deed, she did share that she “would sleep better at night knowing the accounts had been paid.”

“If you have it, give it,” the angel told the store manager after giving her a hug.

The Milford Daily News reports that the layaway customers who had their accounts paid were in tears when they got the good news.

“I thought, ‘You have to be kidding me,” said Linda, one of the layaway purchaser’s benefactors. “I almost wanted to cry. It was only $50, but to me that’s a lot of money and that someone would go and do that gave me chills. What she did was so caring and thoughtful. I feel like I was part of something special—touched by an angel.”

This Layaway Angels movement really does make the Christmas holiday season magical.
