Is D'Angelo's New Album 'Finally' Here?
The wait is finally over!
D’Angelo just announced the title of his long-delayed album: Black Messiah.
A brief teaser video for the much-anticipated follow up to 2000’s Voodoo hit the ‘Net on Thursday (December 11) thanks to the singer’s manager Kevin Liles.
In the clip, the American flag waves in the wind as a voice preaches a sermon that defies the image of Jesus Christ as blonde-haired and blue-eyed.
D’Angelo and his band The Vanguard will premiere the LP to the public during a Nelson George-hosted listening session at the Dream Hotel in New York on Sunday (December 14).
In addition to the album, which is rumored to be released on December 16, the "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" crooner revealed his new European tour to support the project, “The Second Coming Tour.”
The tour kicks of in Switzerland on February 11.
