Rising battle rap star, Young B the Future, was killed on Monday night in Los Angeles, after being shot five times.

A member of B's camp confirmed with BattleRap.com that the MC was gunned down by an unknown assailant while exiting his car. He was then transported to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Young B was an up and coming talent who caught the attention of Snoop Dogg. Snoop included the spitter in one of his Gladiator School rap battles earlier this year. During the high-profile match Young B defeated B Magic in an upset victory.

“We lost a solid voice of West Coast battle rap today,” B's media manager, Hollywood Stilt told the site over the phone.
