Chris Brown And Tyga's 'Fan Of A Fan 2' Single Is Coming Really Soon -- For Real This Time

We're ready.

We've heard this before, but that's all right, because it's good news: A Fan of a Fan 2 single is coming. And coming soon.

"The first song coming out the beginning of January," Chris Brown said of his upcoming project with Tyga, during an interview on Los Angeles' Power 106, shortly before hitting the stage at their annual Cali Christmas. "We already got it locked and loaded. Nic Nac produced it; it's crazy. It's one of them ones. We just gonna have fun, man."

In November, Tyga announced that the lead single was just a week away, and would featuring Ty Dolla $ign, with production by DJ Mustard. But it seems plans have changed -- which may not be a bad thing. These three have made magic before. Nic Nac is the producer behind Breezy's "Loyal," which featured Tyga and was one of the biggest songs of the year.

Still, as delayed as Fan of a Fan 2 has been (we've been hearing about it for years now), it may arrive before Tyga's new solo project, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. That's because the "Rack City" rapper is in the midst of a dispute with his label, Cash Money, who he says won't release the project. But he's working to get past that.

"The album is done so like I'm going to put it out independently," he said, doubling down on an announcement he made last week. "I'm just getting out my deal right now. I feel like as an artist, at the end of the day, what we do creatively should never be imprisoned and at the end of the day we do it to bring it to the fans. It's not a selfish thing -- it's just not fair to the fans. You've got millions of people who want your music and they don't understand the behind-the-scenes of the politics."

Of course, the 25-year-old isn't the only one in the camp feeling imprisoned by the label. Last week, Lil Wayne shocked the hip-hop world when he tweeted that he wanted "nothing to do" with Cash Money anymore.

Tyga, though, didn't sound surprised.

"Everything come to the light," he said. "You gotta treat people how you wanna be treated at the end of the day."
