Late Monday night, St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch announced that officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted for his role in the August shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

What ensued in the following hours -- and, in many ways, what has ensued in the nearly four months since the shooting -- was a bit of a whirlwind. Protests popped up across the country, from Ferguson to New York, with angered and saddened residents taking to the streets to voice their frustrations. Brown's family put out a statement, as did Wilson. President Obama addressed the nation. And that's just a slice of the fallout from the decision.
