'The Walking Dead': How Did Maggie Greene Became Such A Badass?

Here's her secret: she was ALWAYS a badass.

Maggie Greene is a badass. There's no dispute among "Walking Dead" fans about that. And unlike Carol Peletier, Maggie was always a badass.

Think back to the first time we met her:

Riding horseback, killing walkers with a baseball bat. Does it get cooler than that?

How about that time she stabbed all the heads?

And shot all the heads?

And sliced off heads with a signpost axe?

And stabbed more heads?

How about how she sized Glenn up and immediately knew exactly what she wanted out of the former pizza delivery boy?

Get your heads out of the gutter. She's talking about his skills on the streets.

(Okay, she's also talking about his skills between the sheets.)

How about how she saved save baby Judith from dying in childbirth alongside her mother?

Achievements aside, Maggie has suffered a lot of heartache in her time in the zombie apocalypse, from that time her entire family got swarmed in a walker assault on the farm…

…to that time Hershel's leg got bit…

…to that time Hershel's head got lopped off.

Even when signs pointed to the fact that her sister was dead…

…and her lover was dead…

…she never lost hope.

Now, Maggie and Glenn are back together, and with a larger group of other badasses.

But they're having problems. Tonight, Maggie's take-no-nonsense, straight-shooting nature is going to play a big role in getting her group back on their feet.

So just remember, Maggie Greene? Total badass, now and forever — or, at least, as long as she's alive in the apocalypse.
