Frank Ocean Wants To Change His Name But There's A Problem
If you've made the decision to legally change your birth name, then you've probably put a lot of thought into it. And after all of that consideration, it has to be pretty annoying for speeding tickets to hold up the process. At least, that's how we imagine Frank Ocean must be feeling right now.
According to TMZ, the Channel Orange singer, born Christopher Breaux, applied to change his name all the way back in early March, but then he started driving too fast, and too recklessly.
Apparently, he racked up three tickets in just as many months, for three different offenses: Driving with expired insurance, driving with his headlights off, and then driving 31 mph over the speed limit.
31 miles over? Who knew Frank Ocean had a bit of Speed Racer in him.
Thanks to these offenses and a few missed court dates, his license has been suspended, and a judge won't grant his request for a name change. C'mon Mr. Breaux, get it together. (And release a new album when you have a moment).
