In case you missed it, Taylor Swift sold a lot of albums during 1989's first week of sales -- 1.287 million copies, to be exact. The last album to sell that well was Eminem's The Eminem Show back in 2002, and the victory has not been lost on the "Blank Space" singer.
"The last time an album sold as many copies as 1989 did first week, it was 2002," Taylor wrote in the caption of a photo she Instagrammed on Wednesday (November 5). "I was 12, and going through my 'braids phase'. #nofilternecessary" Behold the glorious throwback below.
