Last Thursday (October 30), Ed Sheeran said "I do" to a fan suffering from brain cancer, who proposed to him before his concert in Glasgow that night.

According to iHeartRadio, Katie Papworth, a 19-year-old patient who has battled with an aggressive form of cancer for eight years, met the "All About It" singer backstage and presented him with an engagement ring engraved with an infinity symbol.

Sheeran granted her wish by accepting the ring, and he even signed a picture that she drew for him before she lost her sight.

“Katie, lovely to finally meet my wife,” he wrote.

The meeting of the newlyweds was arranged by The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation, who thanked the singer on their Facebook page.

“Huge Thanks to Ed Sheeran (a real Superstar )and his fantastic team who made Katies Dream come True Last night and she even proposed and he kept her ring. Xx,” they wrote.
