Jay Z Signs Dallas Cowboys' Wide Receiver Dez Bryant To Roc Nation

Jerry Jones isn't too happy about it.

Dez Bryant is now part of Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports agency after cutting ties with his former agent, Eugene Parker.

Bryant, who has dealt with many off-the-field controversies, including a reported fight with Lil Wayne, has been represented by Parker twice in his career. First, the NFL star hired Parker when he entered the league as the 24th pick overall in 2010. He switched agents in 2011, joining Drew Rosenhaus. In August 2012, the former Oklahoma State University star rehired Parker.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who once said he hoped Eminem and Jay Z would perform at Cowboys Stadium, is reportedly not happy about Bryant's decision. Jones is said to be reluctant to deal with Roc Nation, according to CBS, which could complicate Bryant’s upcoming contract negotiations with the NFL team.

Regardless, Bryant, who is regarded as one of the league’s best wide receivers, is expected to demand major dollars from teams hoping to sign him at the end of this season, when his rookie deal expires. NFL agent Tom Condon is reportedly in talks with Roc Nation to help with Bryant’s contract negotiations, according to ESPN.

Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports represents several athletes, including NFL stars Victor Cruz and Geno Smith. The agency also boasts several other clients, including Kevin Durant, Robinson Cano and Drake's favorite WNBA player, Skylar Diggins.
