Nicki Minaj Explains Her 'Shocking' New Look To 'GQ'
Last year, Nicki Minaj took a firm anti-bra stance. Well, her feelings have taken a turn, at least based on the outfits she wore for an interview in GQ, where she not only wears a regular bra, but a leather bustier with metal accents. It's like a bra on steroids.
The white top is paired with a high-waisted, colorful pencil skirt and two colorful dogs. Her hair is long, straight, and simple and is consistent with her toned-down aesthetic. She revealed to GQ the inspiration behind the new look, saying, "I always thought that by the time I put out a third album, I would want to come back to natural hair and natural makeup. I thought, I will shock the world again and just be more toned down. I thought that would be more shocking than to keep on doing exactly what they had already seen."
In another shot she wears the same top, but wears it with a bright red skirt. Her rocking horse companion wears the same colors, but there's no competition: Nicki wore it better.
