James Earl Jones Is Bringing Darth Vader To 'Star Wars: Rebels'

Luke, I am your cameo.

It's been nine years since we last heard Darth Vader speak, delivering the incomparable "NOOOOO" that took the Internet by storm. Fans wondered if that would be the last they ever heard of Vader, at least as voiced by actor James Earl Jones.

Well good news, everybody! Jones, and Darth Vader, are returning for an appearance in a special added scene for the network television premiere of the TV movie "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion."

The movie will air on ABC, and while it premiered on Disney Channel and Disney XD, fans will surely be clamoring to see (and hear) the return of the "Star Wars" universe's peerless villain.

"We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast," Executive Producer Dave Filoni said in a press release issued by Disney. "We've added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones."

"Star Wars Rebels" takes place between the events of "Episode III" and "Episode IV," so Vader will most likely be in the process of hunting down the remaining Jedi. Has he gone full Dark Side yet, or is any lingering bit of Anakin still in him? And what does he have to do with the Inquisitor?

You can find out all that, or just bask in the luxurious evilness of the Dark Lord of the Sith's voice, when "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" airs on ABC Sunday October 26 at 7:00 ET.
