There's a disturbance in The Force for "The Sims 4" as October's update brings a bit of "Star Wars" flavor to the game.

Yep, the patch -- introduced today (October 1st) -- will add in new costumes to dress up your Sim. Leia's dress and cinnamon bun hair, Luke's X-Wing jumpsuit, and Darth Vader's helmet and armor are available right now! Also, Yoda makes a perfect Sim kid costume for Halloween. So, now you can live out that Skywalker family sitcom fanfiction you've always wanted!

Besides the galactic update, there's a whole bunch of extra stuff coming up as well in the free patch:

• The afterlife exists for your unfortunate Sim as ghosts are back! Besides retaining their digital attributes, your undead Sim will have all new behaviors based on how they died. And if you're will to dive into a bit of dark magic, you may even bring them back to life.

• Tired of boring eye colors? Now you can change them to purple. Minor, but still pretty cool.

And it doesn't end in October.

• Your favorite aquatic torture device returns! Yep, swimming pools are coming back in November.

• And in December, you'll be able to get that lazy Sim of yours out of the pool and into a new job. Got to get that green some how with all new career paths!

Once again, these updates are totally free for "Sim 4" players. All you have to do is log into Origin and grab the patches when they're released. Simple as that... And may the Force be with you!
