It's been incredibly easy to be cynical about the upcoming "Angry Birds" movie. The animated big screen adaptation of the ridiculously popular mobile game couldn't be more of a textbook cash-in... But then they announced the cast.

When the "Angry Birds" movie hits theaters in July 2016, it will feature the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Maya Rudolph, Danny McBride, Kate McKinnon, and Keegan-Michael Key (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Fans of the game unlocked the cast list by launching one billion slingshots, making it the most literal "flock to unlock" campaign of all time.

I fully realize that this movie is built to get "Angry Birds"-obsessed kids excited and into the theaters, but is it bad that I'm kind of definitely interested now?

"Angry Birds" will open in theaters on July 1, 2016.
