Teen Driver Crashes SUV After Friend Sets His Armpit Hair On Fire

Nobody was seriously hurt, but let this be a lesson: Pranking and driving don't mix.

There's a stereotype that teenagers aren't the most responsible drivers on the road, and this dumb prank won't do much to help combat it. Early Wednesday morning in Idaho, an 18-year-old guy reportedly crashed his car because his friend tried to burn off his armpit hair.

Tristan Myers was cruising along in his Ford Bronco along with a 16-year-old friend riding shotgun and two girls in the back. Police say Myers was driving “erratically” before the crash happened at 5:30 a.m. That may be because -- for some reason -- the front seat passenger allegedly decided to whip out a lighter and try to blaze Myers’s pit.

Police say Myers originally told them the crash happened because he lost control while trying to dodge an animal in the road -- but soon admitted to the manscaping-by-flame. Liar, liar, pits on fire?

Luckily, all the teens are OK, even though none of them were wearing seat belts, causing the two girls to be thrown from the car; they were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Myers was cited for inattentive driving, and the pyro friend got ticketed for interfering with Myers’s concentration.

Why couldn't they just do this on YouTube in the relative safety of their bathroom like normal idiots?

(Disclaimer: Please do not set your armpits on fire, behind the wheel or anywhere else.)
