See Charlamagne Tha God And DJ Envy Take On Rocawear's Classics Collection

Nowadays, NYC streetwear labels are a dime a dozen, but back in the late '90s there were just a few brands that were synonymous with the city, and Rocawear, founded by Jay Z and Damon Dash—a year after Diddy founded his Sean John line—was definitely one of them. For their summer lookbook, Rocawear is taking it back to the glory days and honoring their heritage by recruiting local music personalities Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy to model their sunny-season digs.

Usually when you hear the words "music" and "collaboration" in the fashion world it means that an artist has teamed up with a designer, but Rocawear is putting a new twist on the concept with Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. In the lookbook, Char and Envy sport the pre-fall pieces in super New York-y places like the city streets and Power 105.1 headquarters, where the guys are hosts on The Breakfast Club show (in addition to hosting their respective shows, MTV2’s Charlamagne & Friends and Sucker Free Countdown).

Even though the collection is billed for men, we wouldn't blame you for shopping in the boy's department. In which case, some of the pieces you should look out for are the sunny sublimation "Can I Live?" shirt and tees with graphics like "Rappers Lie" and "Always Knew It'd Be Like This."
