Parents won't let kids play outside anymore, but this insane montage is a hilarious reminder of what's being lost.

You might be too young to remember, but society used to encourage young people to get out of the house instead of locking up moms who let their kids walk to the park. Sure, we got more scrapes and bruises and maybe broken femurs back then, but our freedom gave us happier and more lasting memories than if we'd been stuck inside with an iPad.

Just take it from YouTube user Danny Philippou, whose backyard in Adelaide, South Australia regularly hosted no-holds-barred wrestling matches, roof jumps, automobile pyrotechnics, furniture smashing and other youthful mayhem in the early '00s:

Today a doctor would prescribe a bunch of pills to turn these roughhousing friends into zombies, but they grew up to become YouTube comedy stars with millions of views, so maybe parents have just gotta let boys be boys -- as long as the family health insurance plan covers 100% of emergency room visits.
