Bill Murray is getting ready to sing about "The Bare Necessities" of life. The actor has been cast to play Baloo the bear in Disney's "The Jungle Book."

Murray joins a solid cast that includes Christopher Walken as King Louie, Ben Kingsley as black panther Bagheera, Lupita Nyong'o as wolf Raksha, Scarlett Johansson as python Kaa and newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli.

This isn't the first time Murray has lent his voice to an animated flick, previously voicing the characters of Fantastic Mr. Fox and Garfield. Plus, let's not forget one of Murray's ultimate forays into animation—though he played an IRL—in the classic film "Space Jam."

The live-action/animation film hits theaters October 9, 2015. And because all you're thinking about are the lyrics, here's the video from the original Disney hit in 1967. Fun fact: the song was nominated that year for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards!
