'Into The Woods' Teaser Has Plenty Of Magic, No Singing, Some Trees

Oops, musical interlude over. The first official teaser trailer for Disney's Rob Marshall-directed "Into the Woods" is here, and it seems like everyone has a lot of wishes. The teaser gives us a brief introduction to several of the characters, each uttering the Stephen Sondheim musical's familiar "I wish" refrain. We're also treated to a horn version of the "Stay With Me" theme from the Broadway show, which is nice. (Yeah, we're nerds. Handle it.)

Things are about to get really magical up in here, and we're not just talking about the way Chris Pine looks in those princely breeches. Meryl Streep plays the witch, and it'll be exciting to see whether she can out-bananas Bernadette Peters' original depiction of the role. Anna Kendrick, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt and James Corden also star.

"Into the Woods" dances its way into the woods theaters December 25.
