Meek Mill surprised everyone on Tuesday, when he suddenly lashed out at his labelmate Wale on Twitter, but after all of the drama he was out in his hometown, Philadelphia, trying to do something positive in the community.
The 27-year-old rapper visited the site of a fatal fire in Southwest Philly that claimed the lives of four children on Saturday. "I just wanted to come by and show my support to all of the families and everybody that was hurt by this situation," he told NBC Philadelphia.
"I feel I'm in a position where I can help these people. Anything I can do to help them with their losses, I'm gonna do it," he continued.
Meek visited the site just one day after protesters congregated in front of the city's Engine 40 & Ladder 4 firehouse, accusing firefighters of a delayed response to the flames. The mayor has denied that there was any delay, but it hasn't quelled the outraged.
Meek vowed to donate money to the families who suffered because of the fire.
