Has there ever been a celebrity couple who handled the nuisance of nosy photographers more gracefully than Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield? The famous (and famously private) pair have once again turned an invasive moment into some much-needed attention for worthy causes, as they were snapped on the streets of New York City holding handwritten notes over their faces.

Apparently, Andrew and Emma noticed a pack of stalking paparazzos while they were eating breakfast, and emerged from the restaurant with some polite suggestions for interested parties on how to use their time more productively.

Stone's message read, "Good morning! We were eating and saw a group of guys with cameras outside. And so we thought, let’s try this again. We don’t need the attention, but these wonderful organizations do," while Garfield held a card featuring a list of charitable organizations: Youth Mentoring Connection, Autism Speaks, The Worldwide Orphans Foundation, and Gilda's Club.

The card concluded: "Here’s to the stuff that matters. Have a great day!”

And here's to a couple who stays classy — and who gently reminds us shameless gossip hounds what's really important and — even when they must be mightily annoyed at being chased by photographers. Wherever Andrew and Emma are now, we hope they're enjoying their breakfast.
