Emilia Clarke's next film won't be set in Westeros, but her experience as a conquering queen of the "Game of Thrones" universe should come in handy all the same.

A report from The Hollywood Reporter pinpoints Clarke's next project as "Voice from the Stone," an indie period thriller that boasts a hint of the supernatural. From the article:

"Set in 1950s Tuscany, 'Voice From the Stone' centers on a nurse (Clarke) who is helping a boy through the trauma of his mother’s sudden death. As she works with the troubled child, she becomes ensnared by a malevolent force inside the family’s castle."

Shooting on the film will begin in November, adding yet another commitment to Clarke's already-busy schedule. In addition to a pivotal role on "Game of Thrones," she's also slated to star as Sarah Connor in the upcoming "Terminator: Genesis."

Meanwhile, there are a few key differences between Clarke's role on the award-winning HBO fantasy and this one; among other things, her wardrobe in "Voice from the Stone" probably won't include the peek-a-boo pleated evening gowns favored by Daenerys Targaryen.

But you can't deny that there are eerie parallels between the two. A nurturing maternal instinct for a child who's not her own? Check. Evil, otherworldly forces? Check. Castles? Yep, that's a setting with which Emilia should be very familiar. And while there's no mention of it as yet, it must be said that if this role requires the actress to consume a raw horse's heart in its entirety, she could totally do that, no problem.
