After looking forward to a cosmic Marvel Studios movie for years, I feel like "Guardians of the Galaxy" snuck up on me. The James Gunn-directed film is less than two months away.

And this new TV spot isn't helping alleviate my excitement.

There's a ton of great stuff here -- including Glenn Close's perfect delivery of "Send in the Guardians" -- but what really stands out is Chris Pratt as beaten-up Star-Lord saying the movie's title while surrounded by swirling purple light. I love it!

"Guardians of the Galaxy" opens in theaters on August 1.
