Lea Michele Remembers Cory Monteith’s ‘Beautiful Smile’ On His Birthday

Cory's mom also remembers her son in a sweet tweet posted on Mother's day.

In honor of late boyfriend Cory Monteith, Lea Michele posted a touching tribute on Twitter on what would have been his 32nd birthday on Sunday.

"The biggest heart and most beautiful smile.. In all of our hearts.. We love you so. Happy Birthday," Michele tweeted along with a black-and-white photo of the couple laughing together.

After completing a rehab stay last year, the "Glee" actor tragically lost his battle with drug addiction in July 2013. An autopsy later revealed he died of a "mixed drug toxicity," involving heroin and alcohol.

“I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction — unfortunately, it won. But that wasn’t who he was,” Michele told Seventeen magazine in March. “Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, ‘I’m your boyfriend,’ I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful.”

Lea -- whose recent debut album, Louder, is largely inspired by her relationship with Monteith -- dated the actor for two years, and told Glamour UK that the two were planning their future together.

“We talked about a lot of things. We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old and who would be fat and how we would stay thin. We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do," Michele said. "We were done. We were it. When you’re at that place in your life with someone, you talk about everything. But today I feel like I was given the best part of Cory and I’m thankful for that.”

Monteith's mother, Ann McGregor, also posted a tweet on Friday remembering her son, whose birthday fell on Mother's Day.
