Zedd's 'Divergent' Track All Started With A Text To Miriam Bryant

The Swedish singer tells MTV News how she got together with the producer.

Miriam Bryant is the name behind the robust vocals on Zedd's latest track "Find You." The 22-year-old Swedish singer may be new in the States, but with one of the best producers in the world behind her, Bryant's career is already swelling.

After hearing Bryant's song "Finders Keepers" on the radio back home in Germany, Zedd knew he needed to work with her. A quick phone call and they were soon creating what would soon be their hit "Find You."

"He sent me like a piano memo, he just recorded it onto his iPhone and he sent it to me like a text message," Miriam told MTV News. "I just fell in love with the chords and the melodies and I just knew that I wanted to be a part of it."

The two spent a year working on the track before bringing in Matthew Koma, the second voice on the song, who fit in right away. "It's been very organic and natural and sort of just very relaxed," she said of the creative process.

Now, in addition to positive reviews and live performances, the song will be featured on the official "Divergent" soundtrack. Luckily, Miriam is a fan.

"I wanted to know what it was about before I started writing for it, so I read all the books and I just fell in love with the story and the characters." The track is a great addition to an already EDM heavy roster.

Miriam is now in LA hard at work with Zedd on her U.S. album, which sounds promising. "It's a mixture of really organic stuff, electronic influences and obviously with my voice in center," she said. "Really strong stories and lyrics and secrets to share."
