Here's The First Footage Of Adam Driver In 'Star Wars' (That We Totally Didn't Make Up)

In our clip, the 'Girls' star turns to the gross side of the Force.

If you felt a disturbance in the Force Wednesday afternoon, don't be nervous -- that was just fangirls and boys all over the Galactic Empire reacting to the news that "Girls" star Adam Driver has been cast as the villain in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Driver, of course, is best known for his role as creepy-turned-cute boyfriend Adam on HBO's "Girls," going from being stalked by Lena Dunham's Hannah, to stalking her, to finally settling into a live-in relationship in Grown-Up Brooklyn. He also had a turn in this year's critically acclaimed "Inside Llewyn Davis," a role most memorable for its display of Driver's facial elasticity and lip-trilling skills during the performance of the earwormy "Please Mr. Kennedy."

It may be a little difficult to visualize Driver as a Darth Vader-esque overlord (Darth Adam?), so we scrounged up video of what we assume is Driver's screen test for the part. (Or maybe, possibly something we made up.)

Check out the clip above for your first look at Driver as the new "Star Wars" villain.
