Trinidad James Arrested For Marijuana Possession In Mississippi

'All Gold Everything' MC is reportedly in custody for possession of a controlled substance.

Trinidad James was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on Friday (February 7) after allegedly smoking marijuana in a hotel room in Batesville, Mississippi.

Panola County authorities told TMZ that the rapper born Nicholas Williams is currently in custody after being booked into county jail after he was caught with the substance at a Holiday Inn.

James' arrest comes just two days after he partied at Diddy's Deleon Tequila launch at Atlanta's Vanquish nightclub with Wale, T.I., Rick Ross and a shirtless Justin Bieber, who's had his own run-ins with the law of late.

Not only was the Biebs arrested under suspicion of DUI in Miami, but the "Confident" singer also had to turn himself in to Toronto police on January 29 in connection with the alleged assault of a limousine driver on the night of December 29.

As for James, he's not exactly in scalding hot water, legally speaking. In the state of Mississippi, possession of marijuana is normally considered a misdemeanor. A first offense for possession of 30 grams or less is punishable by a fine of $100 to $250.

At press time, no additional information has been released by authorities about James' impending bond hearing.
