Rihanna Talks Grammys: It's All About Mikky Ekko

Superstar songstress stepped out on Saturday at RocNation's annual brunch.

Before Rihanna looks ahead to her eighth studio album, the Barbados-born superstar has her eye on two gold statues this weekend.

The six-time Grammy winner is up for another pair of gramophones at Sunday's ceremony, including Best Urban Contemporary album for Unapologetic and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Stay," which she shares with songwriter Mikky Ekko.

Before the mayhem ensues, Rih-Rih stepped out on Saturday with her Roc Nation family at Jay Z's annual brunch, held this year at a private residence in Beverly Hills. Wearing a chic Altuzarra ensemble with Manolo Blahnik heels, the singer told reporters that she was "really excited" that the Recording Academy had chosen to recognize "Stay."

"I think it's really exciting, especially for Mikky," she said. "This is his first real single and this is the first time the world has really had a chance to see him and hear his artistry, and he's nominated for a Grammy! That really speaks to his talent.

"He wrote an amazing song," she added. "That's one of my favorite songs I've ever sang and performed." (No small feat, given Rih's string of chart-topping hits.)

And while the Rihanna Navy is itching for some new tunes, Rih says we'll "just have to wait and see" when her next album will drop.

Just days after soaking up the sunshine in Brazil -- topless, we might add -- Rihanna is back in Los Angeles and hitting the Grammy circuit hard this weekend. Friday night, the singer was spotted out alongside fellow nominees Lorde and Katy Perry at a buzzed-about Grimes show, and we're sure that's just the tip of the party iceberg.

On that note, you best believe we'll have our eyes glued to @BadGalRiRi's Instagram all weekend.
