Chris Pine Is 'Petrified' To Show You His Singing Voice In 'Into The Woods'
We may still be recovering from the holiday season (our waistlines are, at least), but we're already looking forward to December 25, 2014.
That's when we'll get to see Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick and Chris Pine in the big-screen adaptation of "Into the Woods." As Cinderella's Prince, the role required Pine to sweep Kendrick off her feet -- no problem, we're sure -- but it also called for him to flex those vocal cords.
"I was worried about going off pitch all the time, so I was constantly singing and practicing," Pine told MTV News, to which we obviously replied that we are excited to hear his singing voice.
"I'm petrified," he confessed. "I hope you enjoy it."
Pine appears on-screen this weekend in "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" opposite Kenneth Branagh, who is also directing Disney's live-action "Cinderella." Pine will also show viewers his comedic side this year in "Horrible Bosses 2," where he goes toe-to-toe with Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis.
"They're so funny," Pine gushed of his co-stars, admitting that Bateman is one of his idols. "They're just so good and I've never worked in that comedy situation like that where guys just have to be so quick, and they're so quick and loose, I feel like I'm learning from them all the time."
"Horrible Bosses 2" won't hit theaters until November, but Pine's "Jack Ryan" opens Friday.
