Do you smell that? Why it's the wafting, carnal odor of some seriously sizzling beef -- between Scarlett Johansson and iPhone personal assistant Siri.

As you may be aware, Siri has a mouth on her -- at least metaphorically speaking. Well, she most recently displayed that 'tude when users discovered that if they asked her about the movie "Her" -- which stars Johansson as a self-aware OS that becomes the object of lead character Theodore's (Joaquin Phoenix) affections -- she replies with disdain.

"Her portrayal of artificial intelligence is beyond artificial," Siri snarks.

Vanity Fair recently asked Scar Jo to comment on Siri's very public denouncement, to which she replied: "Oh. My. God.... I feel like I've been betrayed. The other day I asked Siri how I looked and she said, 'You're the fairest of them all.' So she's obviously playing both sides. What the hell?.... What a backstabber, man. Backstabber."

Putting aside Siri's very obvious throwing of the gauntlet, we'd like to point out that Susan Bennett, who voices Siri herself, was a huge fan of Scarlett's performance herself.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Bennett said, "I thought Scarlett Johansson's voice was just perfect for the part."

This looks like a clear case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing to us (if electronic assistants had hands, that is). Someone needs to get Tim Cook on the phone, STAT.
