Kill The Noise Is MTV Clubland's Pick Of The Year... Again

New York-based DJ thanks his friends, family and Lee Hardcastle.

Kill the Noise is officially MTV Clubland's Pick of the Year for 2013. For the second year in a row, the New York born producer swept the category, beating videos from powerhouse acts like Calvin Harris, Avicii and Diplo.

Jake Stanczak explains he was a little surprised about the win because of the potentially offensive nature of the "Blvck Mvgic (Kill the Noise Pt. 2)" video, which explores the mysterious disappearance of several claymation figures that all suffered unique and fairly gruesome deaths.

"I didn't think we'd actually win 'cause of the whole baby getting eaten in the end thing," he said, thanking MTV on behalf of himself and his director, Lee Hardcastle.

Despite the surprise, Jake is very happy about the win and explains he owes it all to his fans and to Lee. "[Lee] is an awesome director and a super creative dude," he said.

The video won against a long list of competitors including Avicii & Nicky Romero, A-Trak & Tommy Trash, Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding, Diplo ft. Gents & Jawns, Dillon Francis ft. Simon Lord, Duck Sauce, Flux Pavilion ft. Childish Gambino, Keys n Krates, Martin Garrix, Oliver, and Zedd ft. Foxes.

Pick of the Year might be over, but fans of Kill the Noise should stay tuned; the producer also teased that a new album is on the way for 2014.
