Bella Thorne's Disney days may be over, but fans can take solace in the fact that the "Shake It Up!" alum is headed to the big screen.
The first trailer for Thorne's studio film debut, "Blended," debuted on Tuesday (December 17) and sees Thorne as the teenage daughter to Adam Sandler's single dad character. "Blended" also marks the third rom-com pairing between Sandler and Drew Barrymore, who previously starred opposite each other in 1998's "The Wedding Singer" and 2004's "50 First Dates."
After a first date gone bad (at Hooters, no less), Sandler and Barrymore find themselves trapped on an African safari vacation with their kids. While the trailer won't betray the ending, we can only imagine that these two families will probably blend into one. (Get it?)
"Blended" isn't Thorne's only post-"Shake It Up!" project coming down the pipeline. The 16-year-old actress will also star in "Big Sky," "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" and the horror flick "Home Invasion" in the coming year.
Directed by Frank Coraci, a frequent collaborator with both Sandler and Kevin James, "Blended" also stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Terry Crews, Kevin Nealon and Joel McHale.
"@Bellathorne gets to be super funny, super goofy, super lovable and super duper beautiful in #Blended," Coraci posted on Twitter alongside the hashtag #GirlDeliversTheGoods. Among the silly scenes playing out in the trailer: Sandler walks in on his daughter as she is stuffing her bra with gel shoe inserts. Awk-ward!
Did we mention Thorne's rocking a super-short bob in the film?
