There may be lists about best songs, movies and artists of 2013, but let's not forget about one of the most important things from this past year: abs.

Shirtless moments were on full display in 2013, from sexy Instagram pictures to magazine covers to steamy videos, which is why we have compiled a list of the most ab-tastic moments.

Nick Jonas

Even though he admitted he may "never do this," fans of Nick Jonas were certainly glad he did. The steamy selfie showed off his impeccable six pack and has more than 292,000 likes. Not bad for a "healthy living and fitness update." Well, Nick, whatever you are doing it's working. Just one suggestion: more pics please!

Austin Mahone

Beyoncé

Not only did Beyoncé shock the world with her brand new self-titled album; she looked flawless doing it. Bey, who earlier this year showed off her abs on the cover of GQ magazine, worked her picture-perfect body in 17 videos for the album, which had us coming to the realization that pretty does hurt when you look that good.

Harry Styles

From his shirtless galloping in One Direction's "This Is Us" to a rousing game of shirtless volleyball in itty bitty yellow shorts, Harry Styles gave Directioners plenty of chances to catch a glimpse of his abs. During 1D Day, Harry invited us into his gym session where he -- and fans -- worked up a serious sweat as he pumped some iron.

Liam Payne

Let's not forget about the other 1D member who also showed off his abs this year. In between touring the world, knocking down a pro-wrestler and working the catwalk with Cindy Crawford, Liam hit the waves of Australia's Gulf Coast, proudly showing off his stomach while stepping out of his wet suit.

Miley Cyrus

They say, "If you've got it flaunt it," and that's exactly what MTV's Best Artist of 2013 did. Miley Cyrus rocked a crop top on numerous occasions and even bared all during her "Wrecking Ball" video, which exposed her toned physique.

Usher

If you're looking for motivation to hit the gym, look no further than Usher's Men's Health cover, where the magazine dubbed him with having "the best abs in the entertainment industry." The R&B star, who posts numerous of shirtless selfies of his rock-hard abs on Instagram, gave up his secret to his perfect tummy, "If you eat clean, you get better results." Easier said than done.

Justin Bieber

Usher's protégé Justin Bieber certainly stepped up his shirtless game in 2013, and just may reign supreme as the "King of the Shirtless Selfie." Bow down to the Biebs.

Adam Levine

As if having an amazing voice, the ability to write lyrics that make hearts melt and a perfect smile wasn't enough to convince you that Adam Levine deserved People's Sexiest Man Alive title, well let us introduce you to his abs. Underneath "The Voice" mentor's rocker chic style is an enviable chiseled six pack that he proudly, along with his numerous tattoos, showed off earlier this year while hosting "Saturday Night Live."

Rihanna

If you follow Rihanna on Instagram, there's no doubt that you have seen a whole lot of her abs. From poolside photo shoots to magazine covers to video sets, Rih Rih has been constantly flaunting that fabulous figure, and really, who could blame her?

Scott Eastwood

Scott Eastwood's abs may have been the breakout star of 2013. The world got very familiar with Clint Eastwood's son thanks to the nautical-themed Town & Country spread which showed the actor shirtless on a boat, smoking a cigar, drinking a beer and just being perfect.

Ryan Gosling

Even though there was just one shirtless scene featuring Ryan Gosling in "Gangster Squad" it was more than enough to secure him a place on this list. I mean, can you really have a list of the best abs without Ryan Gosling?

Arrow Stars: Colton Haynes & Stephen Amell

It's a two-for-one special on the CW's hit series, "Arrow" with former MTV star Colton Haynes and Stephen Amell constantly baring their abs of steel, which may or may not be the real reason we tune in week after week.

Drake

Tour workouts are clearly doing a body good for Drake who posted a sexy shirtless selfie while on his Would You Like a Tour?. Drake was even impressed with his own six pack, captioning the picture, "Always a good feeling to see progress."

Brian Littrell

Brian Littrell decided to show all those younger boy bands what he was made of, while taking it off for the Backstreet Boys' latest music video "Show 'Em," prompting us to ask the question: what took you so long?

BONUS: Geraldo Rivera

While it may not be our favorite abs photo of the year, Geraldo Rivera certainly caused quite a commotion when he snapped a shirtless selfie back in September proving that even at 70 you can still have washboard abs.
