Britney Spears has called [article id="1718105"]Britney Jean[/article]
 her most [article id="1717701"]personal album[/article]
 to date, but chances are she didn't want to keep it this intimate.

On the cusp of her Las Vegas residency debut, Spears will land the lowest chart debut of her career with Jean, which moved just under 107,000 copies, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

Not The Career Numbers She Was Looking For

While Spears scored the only debut in this week's top 10, it likely wasn't the one she was looking for, as her eighth album fell below even the modest industry predictions, which had it selling 115,000-120,000. It's also her second studio album to not debut at #1, joining the #2 debut of 2011's Femme Fatale (276,000), and her final figures came in well below the recent bows by such new generation pop divas as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus.

The album's first single, "Work Bitch," failed to crack the top 10 on the Pop Songs airplay chart and had the shortest run on that tally of any first single from the singer's albums. Jean also marked the lowest first week total since Spears' 1999 debut, ...Baby One More Time, which moved 121,000 in its bow.

She had a better time on the iTunes album chart, where Jean came in at #2, behind the surging holiday collection from Pentatonix, PTXmas.

Garth Ropes Another #1, One Direction Fall Hard

Who beat Britney? None other than former chart giant Garth Brooks, who landed his ninth #1 with the six-CD, two-DVD box set, Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences. After hitting #3 last week, the Brooks collection moved up two spots on sales of 146,000, besting the second-week numbers from One Direction's Midnight Memories, which fell 79 percent to 117,000, for a two-week total close to 550,000.

Kelly Clarkson's Wrapped In Red continued its strong run, moving up three spots to #3 as sales hit 112,000. Spears was almost lapped by a novelty holiday album from the Robertson family of "Duck Dynasty" fame, whose remarkably strong Duck The Halls moved another 105,000 copies while slipping a spot to #5.

Next week's most notable debut will come from R. Kelly's Black Panties.

Pitbull And Ke$ha Stand Tall

It was another week at #1 on the Digital Songs chart for Pitbull's duet with Ke$ha, "Timber," which moved another 193,000 copies, once again keeping Eminem and Rihanna's "The Monster" at #2 (186,000). One of the only upwardly mobile songs was One Direction's "Story Of My Life," which scooted up two spots to #5 (108,000), even as [article id="1718818"]mtvU's Woman of the Year, Lorde,[/article]
 was down two to #7 with "Royals" (107,000).
