Justin Bieber Admits 'I'm Not Perfect' In New Interview

Bieber tells Ryan Seacrest the negative media coverage of him feels like 'bullying.'

You think you know, but you have no idea. That's what Justin Bieber is hoping to show everyone -- including his biggest critics -- when his movie "Believe" hits theaters later this month.

"I think that's why a lot of stuff has been confused. I've been on tour so no one really knows what I'm doing out here," he said on Monday morning (December 9) when he called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

Bieber went on to address the constant gossip and tabloid reports about his personal life, and said he thinks this latest film collaboration between him and director Jon Chu will accurately show what's really going on behind-the-scenes.

"I think 'Never Say Never' showed hope and I think 'Believe' is [about] how you get back up when you fall down and, really, that story of what's going on behind the scenes," Justin explained.

"People don't get to see me living as a 19-year-old boy. ... I'm still finding myself and when I have the media attacking me every day, it's no [different] than bullying that happens in school," he added. "I think this movie really shows who I am as a person. ... I make mistakes growing up. I'm not perfect; I'm not a robot. People forget I'm a human being [and] I have to make mistakes and grow stronger."

Bieber also had some fun with Seacrest, joking about his abs. "I'm trying to be like young Marky Mark with my shirt off all the time," he teased.

And he opened up about his love for getting inked, which his mom Pattie Mallette said she was "torn" about during a Twitter Q&A over the weekend. (His mom also revealed to fans that one of Bieber's first words was "money" and not "mommy," and that she's not ready to be a grandma yet.)

Bieber shared on the radio, "My arms pretty much filled up now. It's a way to express myself a little bit. I design them myself; each one of them, placement. I'm really an animal guy. I express myself in different ways as an animal."

I wish he didn't have tattoos but I do like them. I'm torn. Weird right? RT @osnapiitzbieber: ... http://t.co/iG0O98UCl3

In addition to his movie opening on Christmas Day, Bieber will also release his Journals on December 16. The bundled project will feature all 10 of his Music Mondays tracks, as well as five additional songs, available for purchase from from December 16 to January 2. After that, fans can pick up the songs a la carte.
