Ed Sheeran, we have a bone to pick with you.

On Wednesday (November 20) it was revealed that Ed had joined a long list of good-looking men like Idris Elba, Justin Timberlake, the Hemsworth brothers and Adam Levine, but instead of basking in his glory, Ed called the nod "utterly ridiculous."

1. Lyrics That Melt Hearts

Sheeran may just be one of the most impressive lyricists in music today, penning songs for One Direction and Taylor Swift. Yet, it's his own songs that truly tug at the heart strings. Have you listened to "Kiss Me" lately? "And your heart's against my chest, your lips pressed to my neck/I'm falling for your eyes, but they don't know me yet."

2. Must-See Performances

As if the lyrics weren't enough, Ed's concerts are a must-see event. Although it is just him and his guitar on stage, Ed, who just wrapped up 18 months of touring with three nights at New York's famed Madison Square Garden, captivates his audience who are spell-bounded by his utter awesomeness.

3. Sheerios Have His Back...

His fans are so dedicated to his success that earlier this year they helped crown him the winner in MTV News' Musical March Madness tournament, which gave the "biggest award" he ever received, even though it eventually broke. (Don't worry, we gave him a new one)

Ed Sheeran is proud to be a redhead, so proud, he even wanted MTV to add a "Best Red Head" category to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, but that hasn't stopped Ed from showing off his red locks.

For the better part of the year Taylor and Ed have been jet-setting across the country on her Red Tour, sharing the stage to perform their hit single, "Everything Has Changed."
