Beginning Monday at 7 a.m. ET, MTV News will be dedicating a week to Gomez's tour kickoff, taking you behind the scenes at one of her final rehearsals. Gomez will break down the choreography, her wardrobe and the moment she is most looking forward to fans seeing while onstage.
In a brand-new teaser, Gomez is seen commanding the stage as she practices her moves for her up-tempo track "B.E.A.T." As she sings into a sparkly silver microphone, "I like the lights in my hand/and the beat in my face," the stage goes dark. Gomez and her dancers then grab flashlights to illuminate the darkness, and as the big beat sets in, red and purple strobe lights brighten the stage as they show off their impressive choreography.
Gomez, who has admitted that she will be channeling the moves of Britney Spears while on the road, has been working for months with her choreographers and stylist to get her vision for this tour just right.
"This tour we've worked on for a couple months," Gomez said during rehearsal at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. "We started dance rehearsal two months ago, so it's been full-on in dance studios for a while for about eight hours a day."
MTV News will also be on hand as the tour kicks off Wednesday in Vancouver, British Columbia.
