TLC Biopic Trailer, Album Plans Have Fans Going 'Crazy'

VH1 premieres trailer for 'CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,' while the band announce plans for an album.

Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes made history as TLC, the best-selling female R&B group of all time, and this fall, their story will be told in the VH1 biopic "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story," which will be accompanied by a compilation album featuring old hits and new music written by Lady Gaga.

"CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" will debut in October with Keke Palmer, Lil' Mama and Drew Sidora playing the roles of Chilli, Left Eye and T-Boz, respectively. Actress Rochelle Aytes will play the group's manager and L.A.'s Reid's then-wife Pebbles.

A brand-new trailer for the film premiered on Thursday (July 25), instantly bringing back the rush of excitement that fans felt during the height of TLC's reign, with reenactments of some of their most legendary shows and videos such as "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs."

The biopic will be released in conjunction with a compilation album from the group that will include their biggest hits and a few new songs, including "Posh Life" penned by Lady Gaga and Dallas Austin, and "Meant To Be," written by Ne-Yo. The group will perform the songs live with Lil' Mama temporarily standing in as "Left Eye," while other artists like Drake and J.Cole will potentially join them onstage as well.

Both T-Boz and Chilli served as consultants and executive producers on "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story," along with director Charles Stone III and writer Kate Lanier, in an effort to make the biopic as accurate as possible. The group's third member Lisa "Left Eyes" Lopes died in a tragic accident in 2002, but there's no doubt that she be well-represented in the film, which was shot in March and April of 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia.

When the trailer dropped, "TLC" instantly became a trending topic on Twitter as fans weighed in on the upcoming biopic.

"Lil mama playing left eye in the TLC movie was a good pick," @THEHUMANiPOD wrote, while @LawrenceHurtt24 added, "Watching that #TLC trailer brought back memories damn."

Wow... that TLC Biopic looks CRAZY, I can't believe they re-created all that stuff... took me a minute to realize it wasn't doc footage.

"Don't know how I feel about TLC making a comeback without Left Eye. She practically made the band :( #riplefteye," another fan said.

The VH1 Original Movie "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" premieres on Monday, October 21, 2013.
