Mobb Deep Promise Rare Songs On 20th Anniversary Tour

'If we really want to do it, like two hours,' Prodigy tells MTV News of possible a set time.

Now that Mobb Deep is back officially, Havoc and Prodigy have their work cut out for them. Starting on May 9, the Queens, New York, duo will embark on a 17-date tour to commemorate their 20-year anniversary, but before that, the Mobb has to narrow down their set list.

"It's definitely gonna be songs performed that we've never performed before," Havoc promised when the group spoke to MTV News.

Havoc and Prodigy got their start as teenagers in 1993 with their debut album Juvenile Hell, and while the LP had a couple of notable underground singles ("Peer Pressure" and "Hit it From the Back"), it wasn't until 1995's The Infamous when they really began making a name for themselves with tracks like "Shook Ones (Part II)" and "Survival of the Fittest."

The Mobb's discography spans seven group LPs, one EP and a number of mixtapes and solo projects. There are classic singles like "Quiet Storm," which fueled their 1999 platinum album Murda Muzik and "Outta Control" remix, which marked their arrival on 50 Cent's G-Unit label in 2005.

The group's last project was 2011's Black Cocaine EP, and though they promised a follow-up LP, the duo went through a public feud in 2012 -- one that they have since put [article id="1704218"]behind them[/article].

Pee estimates that he and Hav get together about two weeks before a tour to choose which songs they'll travel with. "We just recently we did a rehearsal together and as soon as I walked in the door, Pee was playing something that we never performed before and I was like 'Yo, let's do that!' " Hav said anecdotally, though he wouldn't give up the goods.

"If we really want to do it, like two hours," Prodigy bragged of the group's extensive catalog of rap favorites. "We just run through the set real quick, just practice and boom it's there.

"We definitely gotta give people a good show," he concluded.
