X17 snapped photos of Miley coming out of a recording studio in L.A. on Wednesday night, trying to cover her face -- which only made it easier to see that neither of the rings she was wearing on her left hand was the rock from her fiancé.

People quoted a source who confirmed that the relationship is facing ups and downs, but insisted that "Miley still wants to get married," adding, "They have a very strong physical attraction, but have very different personalities and backgrounds. This makes their relationship very complicated."

On Wednesday, Miley declared she was taking a break from social media because she was tired of so-called "lies" from gossip sites, apparently fed up after a string of headlines reported that her wedding had been called off and rumors that Liam was spotted getting cozy with other blondes.

Cyrus took to Twitter to announce that she did not call off her wedding, later adding that her "new music is gonna shut everyone up."
