Police interviewing rapper after one person killed in Pennsylvania incident.

Police in Philadelphia are investigating a deadly shooting outside French Montana's tour bus on Thursday night that left one fan dead and another hospitalized with a bullet wound to the shoulder.

According to NBC 10, the shooting happened outside of the Holiday Inn on Penn's Landing overnight as Montana (born Karim Kharbouch) and his crew were hanging out with fans following a performance in the area.

Authorities said that an unnamed 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach and rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A second fan was also hit and is in stable condition at Jefferson University Hospital.

At press time it was unknown who opened fire on Montana's bus, but police have interviewed 25 people, including the rapper, his entourage and fans about the incident. Three people were taken into custody for carrying guns and investigators said that someone inside the bus returned fire after the initial volley of fire from the unidentified assailant.

At press time there were no suspects in the shooting but police said Montana and his crew were cooperating with investigators. The Associated Press reported that police don't think Montana and his crew were the targets and neither victim appeared to have ties to Montana.

A spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department declined to comment at press time.

No suspects have been arrested in that January 28 incident.

"I was with him that night. It was his birthday at Club Liv. I was like the last person that walked him to the car before he drove off," Montana said. "When it's your birthday, you think everybody loves you. You're not thinking nothing of it ... You just always gotta protect yourself."
