Chief Keef will have to put rap on hold for a little bit. The Chicago MC, born Keith Cozart, was sentenced to 60 days in juvenile detention for violating his probation.

The sentencing comes two days after the "I Don't Like" rapper was [article id="1700256"]taken into custody[/article] after a judge ruled that a June 2012 video interview where the teen was seen handling firearms in a gun range was a direct violation of his 18-month probation, which he was handed for pointing a gun at a police officer.

"I am a very good-hearted person," the teary-eyed rapper is reported as pleading to the judge. "I am sorry for anything that I have done wrong. ... Give me a chance."

On Tuesday, Judge Carl Anthony Walker ruled that Keef showed a "willful disregard" for the court by appearing in that video. Keef's attorney Dennis Berkson argued that the video was strictly for promotional purposes and that he was on private property, but the judge ruled against him, sentencing him two months in juvie, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Noted for his raw raps, Keef broke out last March with his viral smash "I Don't Like" and followed-up with the catchy "Love Sosa." He would go on to release his debut LP Finally Rich in December to mixed reviews. 50 Cent, who befriended Keef early on and appeared on Finally Rich, was a bit turned off after Keef kept him waiting and failed to show up to the set for his own "Hate Bein' Sober" video shoot. Still, Fif raves about Keef's talent and DIY method of making music, but at the same time he isn't surprised by the youngster's legal woes.

"With Chief Keef, it's unfortunate to hear that he's actually locked up," Fif [article id="1700325"]told[/article] MTV News on Wednesday. "I feel bad, because I feel like I knew that was gonna happen. I knew what continues to happen afterwards if you let it spiral out of control."
