Katie Holmes Back To Work After Divorce Filing

As more details emerge about her split from Tom Cruise, Holmes is seen on the set of 'Project Runway: All Stars.'

Even though Katie Holmes just filed for [article id="1688799"]divorce from Tom Cruise[/article], she isn't letting it keep her from working. The actress was spotted on Monday (July 2), just days after she announced her split from the actor, back on set in New York City. The news comes as more and more [article id="1688887"]developments about their divorce[/article] begin to make headlines.

According to People.com, Holmes was on the set of "Project Runway: All Stars" filming a guest-judging gig on the show, which tapes at Parsons the New School for Design. The 10th season will begin airing on July 19, with Holmes' episode sometime during the season.

Katie is making other careers moves in the wake of her post-Cruise life. She announced that she is not only splitting with the A-list actor, but also with her publicist. In a statement to the Mirror Online, it was revealed she will head back to BWR Public Relations -- the company she had worked with before marrying Cruise -- after a years-long stint with Slate PR. And nestled in the announcement is news she will soon begin work on a new film with Chace Crawford.

"Actress Katie Holmes has left her publicist at Slate PR and has signed with BWR Public Relations," the statement reads. "Following the announcement of her divorce from Tom Cruise, she is now represented by Leslie Sloane in the New York office and Nanci Ryder in Los Angeles. Katie is set to star alongside Chace Crawford in the upcoming film 'Responsible Adults' which starts filming later this year."

In other TomKat-related headlines, sources tell Usmagazine.com that Holmes felt she had been living out a real-life version of the classic Mia Farrow film, "Rosemary's Baby," about a woman who has a child with ties to a Satanic cult. "Every move she made and everything she did was controlled. ... This is about protecting her daughter. She wants to be in charge of how Suri is being raised and didn't want her to have an exclusively Scientology education," the insider says.

Holmes is seeking sole custody of her 6-year-old daughter, Suri, with a source noting, "She felt she had to get out to save her daughter."

Other sources tell the website that with Katie heading back to work, she's once again feeling like her old self. "She's been miserable for a long time, but the last couple of weeks, she's been happy," the insider says. "Like she's been set free."
