'Dark Knight Rises,' 'Skyfall' Featured On 'Talk Nerdy To Me'

MTV News geeks out over Batman, Bond and more in our new film- and TV-focused talk show.

With "The Dark Knight Rises" soaring over New York, James Bond officially back in action in "Skyfall" and a new episode of "The Walking Dead" on the horizon, it's a great week to be a geek. It's also the perfect week to kick off "Talk Nerdy to Me," a brand-new weekly online talk show right here on MTV News where we'll bring you up to speed on all of the latest movie, TV and comic book news that's fit to print.

Want to know what Joseph Gordon-Levitt was doing on the "Dark Knight" set this week? Look no further. Are you worrying over some of the new details about [article id="1673687"]Bond's big-screen comeback[/article]? We are, too. We'll give you all that and more in the inaugural edition of "Talk Nerdy." Here's a taste of what you're in store for on this week's episode.

"Dark Knight" Rising

Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman movie is barreling ever closer to the finish line, and as part of the last leg of production, the director has brought "The Dark Knight Rises" to New York. Set reports and photos have been flooding the Web all week long, and we've got a firsthand account of "Dark Knight" shooting. In this week's "Talk Nerdy," we'll tell you what MTV News learned during our trip to Gotham City, as well as some of the concerns we have about Nolan's last flight with the Bat.

"Skyfall"-ing

At long last, the wait is finally over: Daniel Craig officially has a license to kill again as James Bond. The previously untitled 23rd Bond movie now has a name -- "Skyfall" -- and a whole slew of cast members, including the long-rumored Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes. But there are also reports that director Sam Mendes plans to veer his Bond movie away from the action for a tale that's decidedly more dramatic. We've got a lot to say on that very subject in this week's "Talk Nerdy."

The "Walking" Tease

There's more to nerd out about as we go into the coming weekend. "The Walking Dead" airs the fourth episode of its second season on Sunday night, and in our estimation, it's the best episode yet. We've got a taste of what you're in store for when the apocalypse resumes this weekend, including first word on one of the grossest zombies you'll ever see. Plus, if you've ever found yourself pining for a "Walking Dead" cameo from Christopher Walken -- don't lie, you're safe here -- let's just say, your wish, it's been granted! Zow!

"Harold" and "Heist" Battle It Out

Beyond a new episode of "The Walking Dead," moviegoers have some solid options going into the weekend with new releases "Tower Heist" and "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas." Will the stoner comedy threequel come out on top, or will Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy pull off their "Heist"? We've got our picks in the "Talk Nerdy" box-office discussion.
