Mobb Deep Will Reunite Onstage Tonight In New York

Havoc and Prodigy set to perform Thursday night alongside Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Black Thought.

[artist id="401"]Mobb Deep[/artist] haven't performed together in over three years, but rappers Havoc and Prodigy aren't worried they'll be rusty when they reunite onstage Thursday night (May 12) in New York.

"It's like riding a bike, man: Get up on it, and it's still there,"

Prodigy told MTV News. "It's just natural for us 'cause we do this for real. We've been doing this for a long time.

"We're real dedicated to our music and dedicated to Mobb Deep and to the supporters -- all our fans out there. To be gone for three years and come back, we just hop right back into it like it's nothing. We know what we got to do."

Thursday night, the Queens duo will be headlining the Best Buy Theater in Times Square, sharing the bill with the Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah and Raekwon and the Roots' Black Thought. The occasion will mark Mobb Deep's first show since Prodigy was released from prison this past March. The rapper served three years on gun charges stemming from a 2006 traffic stop.

While the time apart did affect the group, Havoc insists that everything will run smoothly. "Basically the songs is like part of our DNA; we can't forget it," he said. "It's like three years haven't even passed. As soon as we get up there, it's like we just had a show yesterday."

Prodigy revealed, "Being away from Hav that long, that sh-- hurt me. So, to come back home and just start going again, it just feels great, man. It feels great to just work again."
