Jennifer Lopez, 'Idol' Producer Shop Latin-American Singing Competition Show

Singer and Simon Fuller looking to launch 'Que Viva,' with Lopez and husband Marc Anthony as hosts.

"Que Viva" Jennifer Lopez on reality TV! According to EW.com, the "American Idol" judge and the show's creator Simon Fuller are shopping around a reality competition series under that moniker, which in English means "Long Live."

Lopez, Fuller and his production company XIX Entertainment are looking to launch the show with Lopez and her hubby, Latin music star Marc Anthony, as the show's hosts. They would travel around Latin America to search for undiscovered talent. The show is still considered in the developmental stage and the pair is currently shopping the series to networks.

EW.com further reports that while Lopez is only signed to "Idol" through the end of the current season, sources expect that she will renew her "Idol" contract, so the new show will serve as an additional series for the singer/actress and won't conflict with her "Idol" obligations. Fellow newbie judge Steven Tyler's contract has him signed to multiple seasons of the show.

Fuller and Lopez have been working on this project for some time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lopez has previously made it clear that she's never been sure if she'd appear on "Idol" for more than one season.

"I don't know if I will do another season," she said recently. "I'm taking it day by day at the moment, and we'll see what happens."

J.Lo's career has been revitalized since joining "Idol" this season. She was recently named [article id="1661863"]People magazine's Most Beautiful Woman[/article] and her once flagging music career is as caliente as it was in her On the 6 days.

She's set to perform at the [article id="1661691"]Billboard Music Awards[/article] thanks to the success of her RedOne-produced, Pitbull-assisted track "On the Floor," and she recently shot a music video for the single [article id="1661229"]"I'm Into You,"[/article] which happens to feature Lil Wayne.
