The Marley dynasty has just expanded.

Singer/songwriter Ziggy Marley and his wife Orly Agai welcomed a son last month, according to People. The baby boy, named Abraham Selassie Robert Nesta Marley, was born January 26 in Los Angeles.

Marley and Agai -- who is also the singer's manager -- also have two other children: son Gideon Robert Nesta, 4, and 5-year-old daughter Judah Victoria. Marley, the oldest son of iconic reggae superstar Bob Marley, and Agai have been married for six years.

In addition to welcoming the new arrival, the five-time Grammy winner has been hard at work on a new album and has been tweeting about his progress to fans.

"In the studio wrote a new song just recorded it called reggae in my head sounds beautiful cant wait for you to hear it. Reggae in my head," he wrote on January 25, the day before Abraham was born. In earlier days, the musician also typed about overcoming a frustrating session but added that even the difficult days are worthwhile.

"Beenworkingaway one song giving me problems but I'm battling it trying to get it right it's funny how music is sometime. On it for 3days now. Making music teaches me patience and perseverance There is a feeling I am looking for when I get I know It is a wonderful process though," he wrote. "Even the stubborn songs : )."

The guitar-playing singer started in the music game in the '80s alongside his brother Stephen and sisters Cedella and Sharon as the Melody Makers. Decades later, Marley continues to believe in the significant effect music can have on young people. When Marley released his 2009 solo album, Family Time, which also features vocals from his then 3-year-old daughter Judah, he said, "I know how important music can be in a child's growth and development, and in a parent's connection with their children."
