Lil Wayne, Young Money Reunion Was 'Very Spiritual' For Nicki Minaj

Minaj says Weezy has taught her to 'do the best you possibly can, quickly as you possibly can.'

[article id="1651744"]Nicki Minaj is having[/article] a good month. The rapper, who is set to drop her highly anticipated Pink Friday in less than two weeks, was just one of many supporters celebrating Lil Wayne's release earlier this week at the [article id="1651747"]"Welcome Home, Tunechi" party[/article] in Miami.

With Weezy back on the scene, the Harajuku Barbie sat down with Atlanta radio station V103 on Monday to talk about the Young Money family reunion.

Describing Wayne's homecoming celebration in Miami as "crazy," Minaj told DJ Greg Street that the rapper's return to society has introduced a new era for the Young Money camp. "That was the first time Young Money has been in the same building in like nine months," she said. "It all seems like very spiritual in a weird way, almost like a new beginning and ending for [Drake, Wayne and me] at the same time, and for Young Money as a whole."

The lyricist opened up about the most important lesson she's learned from Lil Wayne on her journey to the top.

"I'd say to go super, super hard like your life depending on it and always act like ... almost act like you're running out of time. Do the best you possibly can, quickly as you possibly can. Feed the people with music. That's what I've learned," the rapper explained. "He always told me not to lose my lyrical content. He always said to me that I should always keep on being a beast and keep on competing with the dudes. He told me that about a year ago, I think, and I kept sharpening my skills."

The MC also described working with [article id="1651177"]Eminem on "Roman's Revenge"[/article] and said the Detroit rapper was one of the most engaging collaborators on her LP. "When I worked with him, it was like having a big brother just overseeing everything and he was just really, really excited about it," she revealed. "We spoke a lot, and he's was probably the most involved feature that I have on the album."

Speaking of her Slim Shady collabo, Minaj recently told MTV News that the first conversation she had with Weezy was about the high-profile duet. "You know what he talked to me about? 'Roman's Revenge,'" she told Sway on Sunday night. "He was like, 'What's up, Roman?' I was like, 'How did you know about that?' "

Asked what the protégé thinks Wayne has next on his agenda, Nicki told us, "I'm pretty sure he's going to go tour. I'd like to see him do a world tour this time. And I'd love to see him in a movie, I think. I don't know why. I really want to see him break into that."
